Gilbert, who also owns the NBA ’s Cleveland Cavaliers, has Las Vegas-style casinos in Detroit, Cleveland and Cincinnati. William Hill has entered a partnership with US casino firm Eldorado Resorts, giving the British bookmaker access to 23 million customers as it seeks to capitalise on the newly liberalised American sports betting market.
