The Mayor's Fun Civic Casino Night will support the mayor's charities, which are Guide Dogs UK, the advice charity DIAL, East Coast Hospice, and the Cinnamon Trust, whose volunteers help elderly people and others who need help to care for their pets or walk them. Fun casino.
The black-tie event will be held at the prestigious Assembly Room, on Friday, April 29. People are asked to arrive at 7.30pm for an 8pm start, with carriages at midnight. Tickets are £30 per person, including £5 worth of chips, a three-course meal and musical entertainment.
On the night, people will be able to donate more money, get more chips and stake them in games of blackjack and roulette. The person with the most chips at the end of the fundraiser will receive a non-cash prize, presented by Cllr Weymouth. Further prizes will be available in a raffle. All profits will be donated to the mayor's charities.

Cllr Weymouth said: "I thought that a fun casino night would be a novel and stylish way to raise money for my chosen charities and celebrate my special year, which is gradually drawing to a close.
"Since May, I have been honoured and privileged to represent the people of the borough in the historic position of mayor. I have met so many dedicated groups, community-minded volunteers and others of many different ages and backgrounds, who contribute so much to life across the borough."
