Welcome to the fascinating world of BACCARAT.
Baccarat is a card-game of chance that was probably introduced into France from Italy during the reign of Charles VIII of France who ruled between 1483 and 1498. There are three generally accepted versions of the game: baccarat chemin de fer, baccarat banque (also called a deux tableaux), and punto banco (also known as North American baccarat). The latest version can be played in the Netherlands in the land based casinos of Holland Casino.
In the game of baccarat two hands are dealt: Player and Banker. On forehand you need to make a bet by choosing the outcome of the game out of three options: Banker wins, Player wins or will it be a tie? You can bet on just a single option or any possible combination. The difference in between betting on the Banker and betting on the Player is that Player wins are paid 1:1 and Banker wins 1:1 minus 5% commission. It has been established that on average, the Banker will win three to four hands more than the Player, depending on the number of card decks used in the game. For that reason, Banker wins are paid 5% less.

Casino card game instructions
If the game is loaded, a money-slider will be shown. Drag the slider to the amount you want to play with and click on “’PAY IN”. In the game, place a bet on the Player and/or the Banker and/or a Tie and press the deal button. Both the Player and the Banker are dealt two cards. Any ace is counted as one, the cards 2 through 9 as their face value and King, Queen, Jack or 10 as 0.
If the total value of the hand is higher than 9, the first digit is ignored. For example: 9 and 7.
The result adding up the two cards is 16 so with the first digit removed, the result is 6.
Another example: If the first two cards are 5 and 5, adding up being 10, with the first digit removed gives a result of 0.
If either the Player and/or the Banker has a total value of the first two cards of 8 or 9, they both must stand. This rule overrides all other rules. In any other situation, the Player and/or the Banker will automatically be dealt a third card according the third card rules. The hand that is closest to 9 wins. If the Player and the Banker have the same total value, the game result is a Tie. Bets placed on Tie are paid 8:1.
